REVIEW
This movie really rocked my world. I was already expecting a good movie, but what I got went even further than my expectations. The heart of this movie is that communism doesn't work. It might be fun to share out chores and live in a utopia, but the lack of motivation to work and the desire to satisfy oneself ends up destroying the paradise society. The only way to hold the utopia temporarily together is to have a cutthroat leader, which is Sal (Tilda Swinton). She was not elected, but assumed the position of leader and would do anything to keep the utopia, and the list of what she does is pretty bloody, sort of like Stalin in a way. There were just great performances from everyone, especially Robert Carlyle who played the crazy Daffy. Leonardo hasn't played this good a role since "The Basketball Diaries". I recommend this film to everyone. ****
